The Temple Of The Wounded Locust

Alain had no fear in naming the temple after his
original home, even though it would surly attract some
attention from some of the older Assamites should they
find out, although its not likely anyone aside from
people who are supposed to find it will. He decided
to use an old mansion that was very close to the city
for easy access. In order to make some money, along
with some followers, Alain decided to use cocaine as a
gateway to set’s wisdom. Its not hard for a setite to
pick out the bad eggs, so once he found some pushers.
He set up shop rather quickly. As for vampires, Alain
decided that being a trafficker of information to
either sabbat or cammerilla depending on who gave him
the better deal. The top of the mansion is where most
of the drug prep happens. The way the up stairs looks
actually fairly normal as far as décor and furniture.
It’s under ground in the basement that it gets
unnatural.

As with most temples of set, there are 2 levels, one
to represent Upper Egypt, the other for lower. The
first, or Lower Egypt begins by you passing through 2
heavy wooden doors and with you walking through
Alain’s “Bridge of Judgment.” It is not likely for
anyone not loyal to Set to even pass this stage.
Guarded by Arex and Kepi, 2 ghouled Nile Crocodiles
named after his mentor in France and his sire. He
thought it would honor them to guard the Locust once
again, if only in spirit. The walls of the room are
decorated with golden hieroglyphics and green painting
of snakes. The bridge is lit with candles placed in
red glass. At the end of the bridge, the cultist will
symbolically remove connections to the secular world
by washing his hands and then rubbing them in human
ashes.
After removing connection, you pass into the 2nd
level, or upper Egypt, which is behind heavy black
curtains. The hall is lit with dark green lights
hanging from the ceiling in the shapes of the
constellations. Passing doors for private
purifications and rituals, we come to the main room of
worship. In the center lies a giant fountain with a
statue of Set in the middle of it. If you look into
the pool you will find several water snakes swimming
in it. As usual an electric brazier sits in front of
the statue. The rituals acted out in the temple
really depend n the time of year but most are
grotesque due to how Alain was abused as a ghoul for
not being of Egyptian stock, he grew to believe that
this was the main way to show loyalty to Set, through
pain and debauchery. Although on occasion the rites
and ways of worship are on a more “happy” side,
although this is not to say anyone outside the
followers would find the acts normal.
