Sabbat Disclaimer:

The Sabbat game is a brutal and unforgiving game, in comparison to the other Word of Darkness vampire games. Yes, all Vampire games are dark by nature, but the Sabbat goes even beyond that. Players NEED to read the "Guide to the Sabbat" BEFORE you consider playing in this game. It is most important to make sure you understand the nature of the game and keep in mind, at all times, that this is a game of darkness and control. Bad things happen, characters die. To be able to play in a Sabbat game, a -real- Sabbat game, you must be mature and understand that this is a game. You are NOT your character! You are a person with a real life and your character is something you portray in a GAME.

Most players will start as recruits. As a recruit, your character is nothing. Your character is not even considered a Cainite to most Sabbat vampires that have earned "True" status. Your character has a long hard road ahead of him or her! Your character will be harassed, it will be goaded by the True to test your character's resolve and self control. Your character's loyalty will be tested. And with a little good luck with the die roller and some good role play, your character can earn the "True" status for themselves! It does sometimes happen that recruits never make it that far, resulting in the character's death. But not to worry! This is only a game and you are always welcome to make another character and try again!

As stated above, the Sabbat game is a brutal and unforgiving game. As a player, when you make a character for this game and agree to have that character sanctioned, you are agreeing that you understand this. When you bring your character into role play, you are accepting what happens in that current story or scene. This is a fair warning. The Sabbat Storytellers in this game are here to present a dark and ruthless game as outlined in the "Guide to the Sabbat". Players are not allowed to protest the actions of other characters Out Of Character. Your character is expected to defend them selves or attack or run away. What ever action you, as the player, deems appropriate for your character. You, as the player. however, are not allowed to forbid other players from acting out their characters. "You can't kill my character!" or "You can't stake my character" is not acceptable and will be ignored! This is an adult game, you will be expected to act like an adult.

Expect other players to use their characters to plot against your character. Please take note of this: "use their CHARACTER to plot against your CHARACTER! They are not plotting against you. There is nothing personal against you that happens when role playing. This is only a story and not all stories have happy endings. Keep a mature outlook and a reasonable "head" about you when you role play. If you become prone to Out Of Character harassment or outbursts towards other players because of what happens in the game, you might be asked to take a "time out". Which means, you might be asked by a Storyteller to move to the lobby until you can control yourself? If this kind of behavior persists, you might be subject to a "ban" from the venue or, in more sever cases, a "ban" from the chat.

As always, you are never forced to role play any scene that is of an offensive nature to you. You, as the player always have the option to "fade to black". However, this does not mean you are free to leave a scene just because your character is in jeopardy of being killed. Use common sense, don't take role play personally and deal with what happens in the story with a mature attitude. But most importantly of all.....HAVE FUN!
