LA- Sewer Worker Tragedy! One Still Missing! |
|
(The same story is run in the paper, on the radio and on T.V. and media internet sites)
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - A shock has gone through the waste management and water treatment communities as a group of five sewer workers were found slain early evening and one is still missing.
The Five victims had responded to a reported Waste Treatment emergency in what officials are calling a 'previously walled off section' of the Los Angeles sewers. The eight man response team arrived at 7:43PM PST in response to sewage coming up into residential pipes. Two men were left top-side for safety and had communicated with the team below using short-wave radio's that do not have their reception blocked by the subterranean environment.
The two men left top-side sent a call in to 911 after an unknown caused forced a blockage of reception upon the underground team's discovery of a tunnel entrance with a make-shift ladder that led down to a reportedly closed section of the old Los Angeles sewers.
When a Fire Rescue team entered the sewers at 9:33PM PST they went through the same tunnels that led them to the now open entrance to the lower sewers. It was there that five bodies of the six individuals in the Sewer Maintenance team were discovered. Police and officials are close-mouthed about the state of the bodies and have yet to offer explanation as to what occurred.
Police are looking for Marvin Washel, 43, a naturalized citizen formerly of Germany for questioning.
Marvin was reported to have departed the sewers covered in blood by one of the two-topside workers ranting hysterically about what the two men claim were 'monster people'. Law Enforcement officials feel that some gas below may have caused hallucinations that contributed to Marvin's rant.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Marvin Washel, please contact 555-555-5555. He is considered to be under the hallucinatory effects of the gases built up within the sewers and more teams are preparing to enter the sewers in investigation of the incident.
