Owner: National Park
Location: Northeast of New York
Description: A diverse stretch of land covering lower land swamps up to some higher peaks of the Appalachians. A broad range of predatory animals seem to be moving into the area over the years, with more wolf sightings than normal. Some rangers seem unusually sympathetic to the cause of these aniamls however and do their best to keep them safe and away from the usual hikers or family picnics. Loggers and corporations threaten the area and it seems only a matter of time before the descruction begins. Now the "locals" just need to deal with the illegal dumping in lakes and rivers the best they can.
Staff: The number of park rangers fluctuates with the budget as much, if not more, than most government funded programs. As of late, the park battles the politics of the logging, oil and ever-expanding housing projects threatening to eat away this little bit of paradise piece by piece. The rangers can only sit back and watch in most cases.
