Shrek Net Rules OOC

Welcome to the information network for the Nosferatu. Here is going to be the place to post anything over the network for the whole of the Nosferatu clan, ranging from any sect world wide. If they have connection to Shrek net, they have access to this. There are several uses, and calling for help around the world or information is one of them. (this does mean that you can contact other NPCs from outside of the city and state. )

There are however some ground rules that we need to set forth.

1. If you need to post a question on an OOC note, please put OOC in the subject header and make ita sticky note, not a normal post. Normal posts are for IC only. Announcments are for ST announcments only on an OOC level.

2. You must have at least Computer skills of 1 to access this segment, and youmust also have listed somewhere on your sheet that you have access to shrek net. (if you have the secondary Information Network, this is a consideration for you to already have shrek net).

3. Accessing shrek net is not the problem. Having the skills to use it well are another case. All difficulties to use shrek net via the normal computer skills are set as a 7. However if you are using the Information Network Secondary, then you difficulty will be a 5.

Difficulties may vary based off of these depending on what you are doing , how quickly, and how much status you have in the clan. The higher the status, the easier it is to get people to listen to you. In consequence, talking to someone of higher status than you and trying to convince them to give you a secret of their city without offering something of equal or greater value in return, then your difficulty will rise.

4. There are many ways to use the network, not just by using intelligence. If you are attempting to persuade, you may be using manipulation or charisma. If you are trying to find something specific in the net, then you may be using perception. If you have a limited time to find something you may be using wits. But you will always be using either your computer or Information network abilities.

5. Any nosferatu in the cityalready is considered to have immedate access to this as long as you have it listed that you have the hook up and at least computer of 1. So post as you will. no one has access to shrek net aside from those with nosferatu lore and the connection set up to it.

6. if someone happens to have nosferatu lore 3 an is not a nosferatu, they are FULLY aware of shrek net and may have the option to attain access to it icly. Remember this when you're teaching outsiders about your clan. Cuz now they know you also work across sect lines for the benefit of the clan,and not the sect you are in. Remember the value of information. It is your greatest asset.
