Recent Strange Happenings over the pasts months (IC Update)

Through the last few months there have been strange happenings all over San Diego. These odd occurrence started after the announcement of the Egyptian exhibit to be appearing at the Museum of Natural History. The citizens of the southern California city are excited with it coming to the area. Some locals are wondering if its a large scale advertisement plea to help restore the museum to its former glory. There will be a Grand Opening Gala held for the dignitaries of the museum as well as reputable and renowned, upscale citizens. This event will be held on the Friday, April 25th, 2008 (8PM EST).

The strange happenings that have occurred over the city are quite peculiar. The first of these happened in a club called Forsaken. Many people became panicked and shocked when their drinks suddenly began to taste of blood. Reporters say that a small riot grew and several people suffered trampling injuries. Also, the dead body of a young lady was found within the club. Reports speak of what looked like some strange ritual sacrifices were held. No witnesses that have come forth and the police are not saying anything.

The next odd act was within Balboa Park. Out of nowhere there was a cloud of locust that swarmed over the area. The swarm attacked people and even went as far as biting on the victims. They also destroyed the lovely surroundings and landscaping within the park. The caretakers of the park have gone to great lengths in repairing the damage and finding trees to replace those that were damaged in the freak occurrence.

Within the barrios of the city another strange episode is one that is still going on. Police say a strange haze and horrible smells have taken over the area to the point of people being forced to stay indoors to avoid the problems. The CDC says that they are not currently worried about the haze and that it must be some rare natural occurrence due to weather patterns. The schools from that area have reported that attendance has been rather low. On a bright note, local police say that the crime rate for this 5 block area has gone down to almost nil. It seems to have become quite a ghost town. One that has people's nerves on edge and giving all that enter the area that creepy feeling that you are being watched. It has such an eerie presence that it seems as though the very wind was too afraid to howl.
