Chains

How is it you have this hold on me
a grip so tight it holds
even after you have let me go
I sometimes wonder if I even want to be set
free...leave a feeling I know so well
The way you hold me extremely tight
makes me wish for no end to this eternal night
the way your eyes stare into me
burns right down to my soul
but when I open my eyes again, you are
gone
you left me in my chains once more
wanting you, because I can't have you
the pure essence of wanting
am I to always be in these chains
trapped in my nightmare to which there is no
awakening
drop your walls and let me in
let me show you how loving it could be
I promise not to hurt you like others before
me
release my chains, and join me.

Sadness
Pain
Confusion
Need to stop
The feeling building up again
Need to let it out
Slowly
Not too deep
Deep enough?
No, I need more.
Deeper
Deep enough?
Not yet, must keep going
Deeper still
Now it is enough
